LSCA BOARD METING
June 22, 2008
The Board meeting
(6/22) was a success:
We acted on the
following:
1. Motion to give
scholarship to Geoffrey …moved by Lynn, 2d by Oliver….FAILED
2. Motion to
re-publicize the scholarship….by Robbie , 2d by Scott….PASSED--the
clubs have agreed to keep info re: the scholarship available to each
now Jr/Sub Jr shooter….Lynn has agreed to mention this in the state
shoot mailout.
3. Jr's and Sub Jrs
to shoot the MAIN at state w/ entry fees paid by state….this is only
the case if they are not competing for any $$$ (ie punches and
trophies only)…..by Hawk, 2d by Oliver…….PASSED
4.Each Louisiana
registered shooter will get one $50 credit (paid by state)…for Main
event only at state shoot…by Hawk, 2d by Jimmy….PASSED…..Lynn will
send each shooter a "coupon" to help remind them of this value the
state is providing , in the state shoot mail out.
5. State shoot
trophies will be sew on type patches…..Dev 2d by Hawk ….PASSED
6. State shoot
banquet will be paid by state….Dev 2d by Brian…..PASSED
7. A shotgun will be
bought and given as a drawn prize for attendees of the Saturday
banquet….budget $2000…any extra used to buy flats of shells to also be
giving by a drawing…Oliver to handle….Robbie, 2d Scott….Passed.
8. Sub Jr's and Jrs
to shoot for $20 off tournament price, to be credited solely out of
state target fees for that shoot only….Hawk, 2d
Oliver…..PASSED….so--if shoot generates $300 for state fees, and 5
jr's/Sub jrs attend, the club will owe the state $300 minus 5x$20…so
owed to state= $200. The "credit" cannot exceed the total state fees
for that shoot only.
9. CE has rebid the
state shoot at $155/200targets for the Main….all "money-back-to-class"
has been removed….an Optional class purse will be offered……Jimmy , 2d
Dev /Robbie…..PASSED.
The Jr/Sub Jr fees(#8
above) will be discussed again at the next state Bd mtg to be held at
CE during the state shoot on Friday evening.
PLEASE remember that
the 09 state shoot must be Bid by 6 week before the next state
shoot..by the by-laws…and the Board's preference is to move the shot
around the state.
As of today , we have
$39000 in the acct.
